Gloomy Days Mean Gaming

It is finally sunny and clear today here in San Francisco but most of this week was very gloomy and wet. Boo.. But rainy season means staying indoors and playing games a lot. ^^




Instead of board games like last time, my friends and I played some fun card games like Land Unter and Dominion. In case you haven't noticed, I like games a lot, all kinds of them. I play to win. :P

And what's gaming without some snacks?



I admit I picked this up at Nijiya just because it had a cute illustration of happy cheese balls. How can you resist? I expected them to taste like Cheetos because the packaging had the Frito Lay logo but they tasted cheesier in a weird way. It was a fun snack to try just once.


And sweet Lola who came to hang out while we played games.. Doesn't she look so cute in my chicken hat?

Weekend

Sunday I enjoyed some card games with my good friends. Citadels and Mystery Rummy, which I've never played before:
Poor Jill the Ripper. Her cards were discarded throughout most of the game. No one thought she could be the killer!

I baked some snickerdoodles for us to snack on while playing games:
I don't think there were many left before we even finished explaining the game rules.

And a Father's Day card to my dad in Chicago :)

Tetris revisited

I mentioned in my last Tetris DS post that I wouldn't play for awhile. I did give it a rest for a week or so before retrying.. The result was a record of 38,708,961 (I forgot to take a picture). Still long ways before 99,999,999!

So, naturally, I challenged myself again. Call me crazy. This is what happened:

Argh, 49,742,828!! I was doing so well, too. It's been going on and off for a couple weeks, and I was confident that someday I would reach the maximum score. But no. I made the mistake of playing too late last night, and my eyes gave into fatigue.. *sniff*

Oh well. Life goes on, right? It was fun while it lasted. :)

I won't play for awhile. Really.

Tetris

I've been really bad with the blog, thanks to my Nintendo DS. Tetris is so addictive! Now I'm just playing it to reach the maximum score.. not so much about fun anymore. I have to reach the top! I have to!

My current score is 19,754,730. You would not believe my disappointment when I reached 9,999,999, which I thought was the maximum. I was so excited that I can finally stop. I was wrong. It is 99,999,999. @_@



Well, no turning back now! At least the game lets me pause, so I don't have to play for hours and hours. :) Wish me luck!
