I Made: floral tapes

Inspired by the Merci x Liberty of London collection, I made some decorative tapes with floral paper scraps. After cutting the papers into 1.5 cm wide strips, I ran them through my Xyron sticker maker. I know, unlike the mt masking tapes, these stickers are permanent and it's not as hassle-free as tearing a piece of a roll of tape in any length you want, any time you want. But you can make a bunch of these with just a small piece of paper and stash them for future use. I tore the strips in random lengths, between 1-3 inches, so I can use them on envelopes whenever I'm sending cards or letters.

Oh, and did you see this security envelopes stationery set over at A Little Hut? Hot!

These are absolutely beautiful! I love using Japanese masking tape (see here: http://designfixation.blogspot.com/2010/06/red-tape.html ) but this is such a fresh take on the trend. The options are limitless....

Why, thanks, Faith! Yes, so many ways to use them! :)
I love what you did and I'll be visiting your blog~

Those Merci tapes are nice, but I like yours much better. They're so pretty and yet very subtle in how you've used them. I might have to dig out my Japanese paper stash and try it too :)

Thanks for linking to the security envelope post as well. The designs and ideas are so simple, and yet so elegant.

Here are some photos of items made with security envelopes (the last two are mine):

How beautiful! This is one of those projects that I would love to do...but there's just no time.

An update on the egg, please?!?!?! I'm dying to know!!

Thanks, Amie!

As for the egg, I don't know.. Mr. P never showed up yesterday and hasn't come back yet today. He frequently leaves the egg unattended, too, when he is around. I see that Mrs. P just left, too. :( I think both of them are becoming impatient. -_-
