I spent a good chunk of yesterday making Easter eggs (inspiration
here). Believe it or not, this was my second time dyeing eggs. Last year, I accidentally bought brown eggs.. Heh. This time, I think they turned out better. But I still found timing and controlling the dye concentration a bit of a challenge. I think I cracked at least 3 or 4 eggs, too.. Next year, I want to try using big alphabet letters like

ooo... these are very nice looking eggs! do you eat them still or are they purely decorative? I painted faces on eggs one Easter when I was a kid. We kept the eggs whole for the longest time in the display cabinet and found it to stink when we opened its doors...
